Remember this post? And how I said I would do a review on these? Labels: run
Haha sorry that I'm finally getting down to it.
The Nike one really has quite a bit of support, stays in place but you'll get terrible tan lines. I find it restrictive too. There is this whole area that provides ventilation at the back of the knee (inner knee?) but wearing it still makes me feel warm. And this might sound weird but my knee doesn't seem to fit in very nicely. Not sure if my knee is different from everyone else's. Haha. Hardly use it nowadays.
The Cho-pat one doesn't give as much support but I hope it's enough for me. I wore it during the full marathon couple of weeks back and it was quite comfortable, except for times when I worry if I'll get abrasions cos the velcro part kept scratching my skin. It ended up fine really. Oh but it shifts since it's pretty small and doesn't have as much grip on the whole knee as compared to the Nike one. I had to tighten it maybe once or twice during the whole run. I ended up with slight tan lines there too but now it's hardly visible.
Now that I think I've solved my knee problem, my ankles/feet are giving me a lot of problem. I have been suffering this sharp pain in my left calf, ankle and heel area ever since the FM. It happens occasionally, even when I walk normally. The pain is lessened if I walk inner heel down first rather than the usual way. Anyone knows why and what I should do about it?
