Carrot & Honey Soap Labels: chagrin valley, soaps
This was a face soap.. but obviously it also could be used for the body.
For my first quarter, I only tried it on my face.
It has this faint raw carrot smell. I didn't really like it but it was tolerable.
No scrubby thingies here.
It's quite a nice soap for face actually. It's not as drying as other drugstore facial cleansers I've tried.
On the 3rd day into using this soap, I broke out. Had lots of bumps on my forehead, a place where I usually don't get pimples at. I persisted going through the soap and my bumps cleared out. Some people have mentioned about breaking out from the soap but after the initial break out, it's working pretty well for me.
One thing I've noticed is that you have to leave it on for a little while longer than commercial facial cleansers to get rid of all the grime. I usually lather the soap, apply lather all over my face, instead of washing off immediately, count to 10 while massaging face then wash off. If I had washed off too quickly, there will be some spots still oily and I would have to wash again.
The quarter lasted me almost one month which is awesome cos I used it almost everyday, twice a day.
Tempted to get a full bar of this.
Would also want to try Grapeseed Shea Soap since most people seem to like this better than the Carrot & Honey one.
