Sad that Hui Shan didn't turn up cos she wasn't feeling well.. but I was so looking forward to catching up with her.
Sorry guys but no pictures of food. You all can check out Jian Wen's fb for those.
I don't know if you guys are aware but apart from being afraid of heights, I'm also extremely prone to motion sickness. I get it in the air, on the sea and even on land (especially in cabs).
Sadly, this boat made me nauseous probably 30minutes after boarding.
Steve was nice enough to offer to walk around with me, hoping to distract me from feeling so queasy. When we went back to the table, Huiru had asked the waiter for some motion sickness pills and I quickly swallowed them.
Those didn't work and shortly after that, I puked out half my dinner and was unable to eat anymore.
This is definitely no good for motion sickness people!
We had two different sets of menu and I assume that they belong to different restaurants/kitchens but one could order from either one.
One of them is Christian-themed, which I believe was partly the reason why Bethesda brought us here in the first place. All the food items had names related to the Bible and the menu includes a tiny bit of explanation to the name. For example, "5 loaves and 2 fish", "manna", "st peter's fish" etc.
The prices of food and all that is pretty reasonable, but I don't know if we made the wrong choices or something cos everything was just so-so. Nothing special.
There was a live band going on but being seasick, I really don't remember anything good or bad about it.
Even if I didn't have motion sickness, I don't know if I would want to go back. It wasn't a nice windy day so I ended up feeling super warm and sticky. The Pier, in contrast was so cooling and not as humid as on the boat. Plus our food was overcooked, came in measly portions and I believe you can get much better food for that price.
I would choose to have dinner at a nicer air-conditioned restaurant anytime over this.
This is just my own opinion.. You guys can check it out if you're interested.
