Kiehl's Calendula Herbal-Extract Toner

I think Mel had read of raves for this toner so we went into Kiehl's for a sample each.
I usually only use toners that are alcohol-free and since this fits my criteria, I decided to give it a try.

It states it's for normal to oily skin which I can't help but be wary of.
My skin is relatively dry (and flaky sometimes) on the outside, but I'm certainly not spared of the oily T-zone syndrome.
Products for oily skin generally don't work very well on me since they tend to further dehydrate the surface of my skin and thus causing my oil glands to work even harder and pump out more oil.

While I was emptying the sachet into a small bottle, I was half-expecting to see petals.
Haha.
The huge bottles in the store had remnants of the flowers lying at the bottom.. which gives me the urge to shake them up and watch them slowly sink again.
But no flowers for the sample.

So I've been trying it out for a couple of days already.
I'm a strong believer that sample sizes usually doesn't give you enough to try and come to a solid conclusion on the product, but you do get a (maybe not so accurate) first impression.

And my first impression is..

I like it!
It does what it claims and doesn't dry out my skin very badly.
The fact that it's alcohol-free and yet leaves no sticky feel after swiping on gives it plus points. Absorbed really quickly!
I don't notice any reduction in shine on my face at the end of the day, but doesn't matter la.
Smell is herb-y but not unpleasant to me.

Price-wise, I remember the biggest size being $100+ but I'm really not sure about the other sizes.

Will definitely consider getting when I run out of toners.
