I'm so proud of myself cos I can now say that I am a finisher of 15km.
Lol.
I did the Passion Run 15km with Hans end of last month and I didn't die or fall, luckily.

It was a great experience.
I didn't run all the way and while I really don't want to sound like I'm cooking up excuses, I actually do have some reasons for that.

First of all, I haven't been training cos of the exams. The last time I ran was probably 18 May (according to mapmyrun training log) and that was only a short 4.91km run. And the time I ran before 18 May was in April. :S

I train in the evenings and at night. Cos most of you know, I really am not a fan of the sun and I can't wake up at like 6am just to run. I hate the sun burning into my face, my eyes and skin. Ugh. I felt myself cringe everytime I see the shady path leading to a long long long long (too sunny) stretch without trees. Never have I felt so appreciative towards trees and their nice cool shade. I'm not sure if it was my imagination, but I felt like the sun was slowing me down and making me tired like 10 times faster.

And worst of all, I was having diarrhea. It started the night before when I first laosai-ed after eating duck rice at 4pm that was bought like in the morning. It was terribly hard to run while having to remember to keep your anus shut. Sorry but that's true. As I picked up speed, my laosai feeling immensified too.

And those were not really excuses! Lol.

It felt so good having accomplished 15km and my whole body ached immediately after the run and lasted 3 days or so. But I love it! :D

Now, I just registered Hans and myself for AHM 21km. With that many scary stories of AHM and its crowd, I really hope I don't get jabbed in the face/chest or fall down or something.
Yikes!

Oh and I hope the army boys will use some deodorant and not smother me with their odor.
