MAC Sugar Sweet Collection Labels: MAC, makeup, Sugar Sweet
I was super excited to be invited to the launch of this collection at NAC. I knew there were some things I wanted to get, but I got more. Oh well.
I actually saw this collection at DFS last week but didn't spend too much time swatching since I was with Hans and I knew I wouldn't want to buy anything without Pearlene. Haha.
At the entrance, we got a goodie bag and cupcake each!
Us with our cupcakes. :)
The cupcakes had yummy marshmellow-like thingys on the top and loads of icing sugar.
A little too sweet for me though.
The goodie bag!
We got the same lipglass in Magnetique.
Makeup Demo.
Us with the cute model.
(I need a hp with better camera seriously)
My haul..
*I had two small bags cos we went to DFS before going to the launch at NAC and then we went back to DFS to get more stuff.. So imagine the amount of walking. Lol.
Products from Sugar Sweet.
I had already swatched both the MSFs on my hand last week and wasn't really impressed.. But after seeing swatches on Youtube and Cozycot, I concluded that maybe I swatched on a less pigmented area. So I've decided to get one and only one in my attempt to save money. Lol.
I went back there and tried both on my cheeks. As I already had blusher on, it was hard to tell how they will show up on my skin.
Perfect Topping didn't really show up on my skin. It was just really frosty and pale.
Refined, however, added a nice glow and bronzy look.. So yes, I got Refined.
I wanted to choose one with more coral veinings in it but the one the MA chose for me was already the best out of the lot. So I'm happy.
When I was swatching them last week, Hans said "I thought you already have these?", referring to my post on the Etude Marbelade blushes. And then I had to explain to him that it's different blah blah.
Yesterday, when I was telling Pearlene I wanted to get one of these, it's quite funny cos she said the same thing. Lol.
I got Aquavert e/s. Blues and greens look best on me so I can always do with another one. Again, I swatched it on my hand and didn't like it but the MA made me try it on my lids and I'm sold! Lol.
I got two of the shadesticks -Butternutty and Penny. Poor shadesticks cos I forgot to take an individual picture of them..
Pearlene was interested in the Red Velvet cos the MUA used it on the model Michelle(?). But the model was tan so the colour showed up really pretty. Red Velvet was a little dark/dull on Pearlene who is really fair.. So yea.
Other non-Sugar Sweet products.
I got my Studio Finish concealer cos like I mentioned in a previous post, I'm having a massive breakout and desperately need better coverage. I got it in NC20 though my other Select Cover-up is in NC15. I tried it on today before going to church and the shade was alright and coverage is really good!
I also got Melt in Your Mouth Cremesheen Glass from the Cremesheen Collection. I'm not really sure why I wanted to swatch them. Cos after swatching all of the lipglosses, I had to pick one. It was totally unnecessary. Sheesh. But it is a pretty colour.
So yes, I might have spent quite a lot but with 20% off, I saved $38! Yay for Pearlene. Haha.
But I didn't buy the Biotherm Non-stop moisturizer I meant to buy in the end. Maybe I'll just use my other ones first since I'm broke already.
I don't think I'll be shopping much after this.. maybe till after my exams. I have some other items I've bought but not blogged about so please understand that the next few posts aren't bought after today. Haha.
