In my desperate attempt to clear up my skin, I went to get some products from The Body Shop last week.
Sigh.. I might have overspent yet again.

I intended to buy a body scrub cos I had ran out of my fave TBS Cocoa Butter scrub for like months now. And I also wanted to try their Aloe range cos I heard that they are alcohol-free and what not. Probably will help my skin right?

I got 3 products from the Aloe range.

Calming Facial Cleanser ($20.90), Gentle Facial Wash ($19.90) and Soothing Moisture Lotion SPF 15 ($29.90)

I picked out the Soothing Moisture Lotion SPF 15 first. And then the saleslady was telling me about their Aloe range having 20% off if you bought two from the range. So I thought I'd try the facial cleansing products.

Gentle Facial Wash - It's like a liquid in the bottle but turns into foam when you pump it out. However, I'm not sure if it really is cleansing my face cos I don't feel clean. Sometimes I cleanse twice and pump like a dozen times cos my face still feels slightly oily. :s But I guess it's nice for days when I stayed in the entire day and my face is pretty clean in the first place.

Calming Facial Cleanser - I really don't like this. I never liked any cleansing milks/creams ever. Unfortunately this was the only product I thought I'd use. But yuck. It leaves me face oily and greasy and I can't even tell if it was makeup residue or if it is just like that. I won't use this with the Gentle Facial Wash (will use my Fancl Washing Powder) cos with these two products, I have zero assurance if my face is clean.

Soothing Moisture Lotion SPF 15 - Really light but I think SPF is too low. Plus it doesn't even state if there is UVA and UVB protection. Sheesh. Not sure if it hydrates but Aloe is good anyway right.

The two red tubs (Wild Cherry Body Butter and Body Scrub) were packaged as a set, priced at $39.90. I never liked anything other than my cocoa butter but thought I'd just try it since I don't mind a richer body cream. Haven't tried them yet though.

Then I got 2 Spa Wisdom On A High Hydrating Puree ($32.90 each). MAJOR SIGH! Everytime I go into TBS, I get attracted to this and think that mine at home is finishing and I should get backups. EVERYTIME! I hope I don't walk into TBS anytime soon.... cos I came home and went into my "Backups/New products" area and to my horror, I had two unused bottles sitting there staring back at me. So now I have 4 backups?! Who ever needs 4 backups of anything?! Maybe unless it's limited edition or something.. I love this and use it pretty much every other day and night..But FOUR BACKUPS?!

So anyway looking at my receipt now, I think I actually should have gotten more discounts cos they were (and probably still) having Buy 2 get 1 free promo.
I could have gotten Buy 2 (hydrating purees) and get 1 (Soothing Moisture Lotion) free? And I don't see it reflected in my receipt.

Blah seriously.

I didn't have a good experience with the saleslady btw. I think I would treat customers like myself better, rather than showing a terrible distasteful irritated face that said "I don't really feel like serving you, but my colleague is busy.. so I'll just get you what you want and just get out of here." On my receipt states "Your assistant was Jasmine Tan" but I don't know if she is Jasmine.

And I think I'm a really nice customer and super easy to serve. I buy pretty much anything you recommend, unless it really sucks or super out of budget. All I ask for is a nice smile and just be sincere and I'm sold (on anything you say) anytime!
I'm a great sucker for good service.

I get really affected by bad service and I really mean AFFECTED. I can still feel the un-shiokness in making this purchase even though it was last week. On a bad day, I might have just walked out and gotten my stuff somewhere else or from someone else. But you see, now one salesperson's bad service has made me upset and unhappy unnecessarily.

Oh well. I hope I remember her face and not get stuff from her anymore. Idiot.
