I've decided not to talk about the camp since I'm too lazy.. and photos are already up on facebook so I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Random thought: Do you think I should sign up as a volunteer at the SPCA? You know how I love animals and all, and would love to have dogs and cats but I can't. So the next closest thing I can think of is SPCA. I do like to think that I have a passion for our furry friends but am not too sure about the commitment.

I went onto their website and shortlisted a few volunteer roles I'm interested in doing..


Weekends only
SALES
Duties: manning SPCA stalls at various events around the island, week-ends
Timings: depending (shifts maximum 4 hours)
Commitment: ad hoc

Weekdays
SHELTER PHONES
Duties: answering queries from the public, manning the office in the shelter on week days
Timings: morning shift: 10.00am to 1.00pm, afternoon shift: 1.00pm to 4.00pm
Commitment: once a week / fortnightly. Must be 21 years +

DOG WALKER
Duties: walking the dogs
Timings: 8.30am to 10.30am
Commitment: should be able to commit for at least a few months

SALES
Duties: manning SPCA stalls at various events around the island – week days
Timings: depending (shifts maximum 4 hours)
Commitment: ad hoc

INFORMATION OFFICER
Duties: stationed at events/schools to answer pet care, adoption and SPCA-related queries
Timings: varied i.e. weekdays/weekends
Commitment: at least once a month, must be comfortable meeting and interacting with people
